Medical Tourism /Medical Outsourcing

As healthcare costs continue to soar in some countries while there is also a long delay in having certain investigations done in others, there is the need to look elsewhere for cheaper care but of comparable quality where investigations can also be done quickly.

Many countries such as India, Brazil and Cuba have taken up this challenge and are filling an unmet need. This is creating a multi-billion dollar industry.

I believe developing countries such as Ghana can grab this opportunity and create an attractive business that can attract some of its healthcare brains who have left its shores as well as retain the new crop.

What is your opinion on this subject?

This could also lead to health professionals neglecting those living in the country and focusing on the "visitors" who generate higher incomes.

everbody is responsible for his/her healthy lifestyle. this responsibility should not feel like a heavy package to be carried through life! Healthclubs etc. can help to "manage" this responsibility, so everybody can make the best out of his/her lifetime!! Psyche-body- family- workplace-social surrounding, these are all aspects and "workfields" for a helthy lifestyle. GO FOR IT !!!
